Another Killdeer

I spent about an hour yesterday photographing these birds.  They were quite cooperative considering that I was out in the open.  They seem to go about their feeding routine and ignore me.  This one has a head turn.

And another great low angle, David.  While the pose in your previous post was neat, this one makes for a nicer composition I think.  The long-narrow aspect of the last one felt just a bit awkward.

and another nice image!
I'm not too fond of the top bright sky, though.
You might consider making it all green.

And another nice look at a Killdeer.  Good low perspective.  I tend to agree with Sandy about the sky; there might be more "pop" to the Killdeer with. a darker background.  Perhaps a slight crop off the top?

This one is particularly nice, David.  Excellent exposure, clarity and color with just enough information in the background to establish the context of it's environment.

Very well balanced comp, David, with good focus control and alert pose. The plumage looks a little different (darker?) than mine in the Southeast. I'm not a big fan of low angle shots, but know that your lower position is less obtrusive and birds won't spook as easily. Overall quite nice.

Interesting image, David. I like the low angle, the color tones provided by the grass and trees and your choice of composition. But the bokeh around the killdeer looks a little nervous. I too think the bright skies are a little distracting.
