This is great, Ed. The SS is perfect. Nice balance to keep from being blown out and stlll having some definition to the cascades. Love that little squirt of water on the left. Having been there 3 times now, I think this is the best comp of that falls. I might just bring the levels up a little. Could be my monitor, you always tell me its dark.

Ed, you made a fine choice of shutter speed to get a little detail and yet still evoke power and action into the stream (I'm NOT a fan of silky water). If I had to nit, I might suggest bringing out a bit more detail in the top RHC. Very nicely framed and executed.

I like how you were able to capture the action of the moving water.

Thanks for your thoughts folks. Here is a version with a little levels adjustment and aa little dodging of the RHC. Let me know what you think.

Beautiful shot with lots to look at in the layered rock and falls. I especially like the inclusion of the little mini-falls in the bottom left. The green is also nice for color. The repost looks much brighter, but I kind of like the moodiness of the first one...really does look like a rainy day.

You captured a nice flow, Ed. The stone and min- falls rivet the eyes to the image,

Ed, you've got lots of great "action" in this falls. The bright green trees at the top are a fine addition. The repost is nicely improved both in overall brightness and with more detail in the upper right.

Ed, I'm enjoying this very much. I love what the rain can do for scenes like this and many others for that matter. The wet rocks really add to it and I like the shutter speed for the water. It looks great. I much prefer that look and feel of the original post and especially in the beautiful larger version. The repost being brighter loses the mood / feel for me.

Thanks everyone. I am partial to the original as the slightly darker image is moodier and seemed to render the rainy conditions of the moment although it might not be for everyone.

A lovely image Ed. The energy in the rushing water contrast so wonderfully with the other stationary objects in the frame. The mood is perfect too and really helps place me smack in the middle scene.
