I'm with you Igor! There is something here that has such a wonderful feel. The bright light and opening in the comp gives it such a nice airy feel and very inviting. The yellow and light greens just add to that as do the young aspens. Alex made a very pleasing picture!!
Something to be said about shooting from the heart!

I really like this one Igor. Nice bright inviting scene that has nice framing elements and very nice backlighting. I could spend a few hous just sitting there enjoying the day.

Igor, I like the high key warm colors here. I completely agree about having the initial vision to find a scene and appreciate it for its attributes, rather than relying on all the fancy post processing. To me it's essential that one needs to start with good bones for any image to look good. Thanks for sharing.

Yup, I get the feeling of discovery in this image. Like walking through the woods and stepping into this clearing. Those little bushes and trees? That is what is actually there, so it is GOOD that it is in the image. Sometimes we get way too clinically clean in our images. Getting back to nature is a really good thing!! I like it!

Igor,
I love how this one turned out. It showcases the gentle beauty that can be enjoyed inside an aspen forest in the autumn season. The light adds to the airy feeling and the composition provides subtle direction while leaving the viewer with ample opportunity to explore the scene on their own.
As we had discussed a few weeks ago (over lunch), images from the heart are indeed special. Looks like Alex is proceeding down the right path.

Anil, to continue the discussion.
I learned a great deal here at NPN but my core beliefs in photography have remained the same. The primary one being that the photographer needs to feel a love for the subject. I believe this to be true even for subjects that are not uplifting.
Thanks for your comment and everyone else as well.

This really shines, Igor. The light is amazing as well as the colors of the leaves.

Igor, this light is just fantastic. I love the simple color palette, and the framing trees hold you in the center very nicely. Well crafted.

I really like that almost explosive intensity of light flooding that clearing. A very warming image.

This has a light and joyful feel. I agree that an image that expresses an emotion and feeling comes better when the photographer has a connection with the subject.
