This is the first time I've seen the male Downy in about a month.  The females have been around for several weeks.  The male needs to eat sometime...

Iso-400, 200-500 at 500 mm, F6 .3, 800th, D 500, tripod, fill flash at zero, -0.7 EV, ACR 10.2, Topaz adjust, TK sharpening action at 40%

Great pose to show the colours on his head. 
If you have more room on the top and bottom, you might experiment with a vertical crop too, showing more of the beautiful trunk.

Marvelous pose by the Downy David. Background is very complimentary and the diagonal perch is nice as well. Details look great and the fill flash looks good. Nice Job!
