Wow. You've grown into an accomplished photographer. I don't mind the symmetry in this composition at all. Nice use of browns which makes this superior to a b&w. Excellent work IMO.

Real nice tranquil winter scene. I might clone the branches coming up from the bottom right edge and see how it compares. For some reason, I find my attention mildly pulled there. But minor stuff.

Beautiful image, Nick. One of your best, IMO. Nicely seen and composed. A wall hanger in any northern lodge.

I find these type of shots so hard to compose, but this one looks great. It seems there is a slightly green cast to the whites - snow and white bark? Maybe me. Might try adjusting slightly toward magenta to see what happens. The snow on everything is perfect.

I really like the composition of this image. It is very balanced. The image also has a very peaceful feeling. The quit peace you get from a fresh snow fall on a calm day.

Another peaceful scene. One of the nicest winter scenes I can remember seeing lately. Everything fits together here to make a wonderfully aesthetic and balanced composition.

Your love for this kind of scene really shines through in this one, Nick. I can imagine the quiet and cold of it all. It's a simple, intimate scene, which I like. The combination of white trunks and evergreens with snow is great. It could be a little brighter on my monitor, but that might take away from the snowy day feel of it.

Someone recently commented that you are the only person doing snowy landscapes and there was a lack of them in this gallery. This looks really good. I like the symmetry of the larger trunked altar on the left and mirrored on the right. Nice level of contrast.

Lovely composition. It feels so calm and quiet, just like fresh snow. You do an excellent job of making snow look like snow, which is something that can be harder than one would think!
I really like the balance in this, and the color, too. Well done.

Wonderful, Nick. Very pleasing and nicely balanced composition. The snow covered evergreens add some wonderful contrast to the birch trunks. Processing looks good on my monitor - maybe it could be a touch brighter - but not much. Wish we had these sort of conditions in dry CA.

What I love most about this image is how it manages to convey the foliage density that one normally associates with a forest scene. Too many photographers, IMHO, are trying to always simplify things to the point where it ceases to hold interest. This picture, by comparison, manages to retain the look of a forest (in winter) despite showing just a small slice of the environment.
Very, very enjoyable. It is always a pleasure to see your artistic creations.

A little late to the party, but just wanted to drop in and comment that this is Fantastic. This has to be a candidate for a very large (4x6') print hanging in the living room - or lobby.... Large view is excellent. Love this Nick.

A gorgeous scene, Nick, with an excellent composition. This would work well in B&W but I am very glad you left it in color; I'm a sucker for soft, almost indistinguishable color and this fits the bill nicely. What a grand day to be in the northwoods!!
