Ed, What a great view and I can see why you have always enjoyed it. I think the crop you did was a good idea and now the diagonal does help balance the scene for me. I like it in b&w too. Very nice and especially the large version that has wonderful detail and rock texture.

Looking at this large makes a huge difference. It does not present well at the smaller size, but looks great large. I would clone out the white bits in the foreground, on the rocks and in the bushes. Otherwise, looks real nice to my eye.

Never made it to the cliff tops, but the view looks pretty nice. Your idea to crop was probably a good one. Feels more balanced. Like the specular highlights of the water along the edge of the cliffs. Nice detail in the woods. I bet the view down the coast to the north would be pretty nice too.

Ed, I'm really enjoying this image. We are too often enamored with drama and not enough with the subtleties and contemplative qualities of an image. I feel like I'm actually standing there on the rocky Maine shoreline looking out over the Atlantic ocean. An image like this needs to be viewed large to explore all the textures and details and the rippling waters. No suggestions at all to improve this fine image.

Ed, I appreciate this different view of Otter Cliff. I've never been up there, so it's nice to see the view. This is very nice. I like the crop, and as you said, the diagonals create a nice composition. There is a lot of nice texture in the ocean. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful tones in the large version-- a must see. The light is excellent, and you handled the processing nicely. The dark area in the lower left corner grabs my eye, but otherwise the composition is very nice.

This image came to life for me in the larger versions that showed all the details. There is a great deal of beauty in that granite bathed in that great light. For some reason the diagonal composition from one corner to it's opposite doesn't grab me but I don't see a good crop. Beautiful image.

This photograph really captures the thrill of standing at the edge of a cliff while looking out at the vast ocean. Beautiful shimmering light on the ocean and I am really marveling at all of the fine detail.
Beautiful work Ed.

Harry: Here is a view looking north towards Sand Beach and Cobble Beach. It is a wonderful view at sunrise.
