I was initially attracted to the diagonal cascades of water over the rock outcropping and decided to incorporate them with this section of Lower Ammonoosuc Falls as a back drop. My intention was to post this one after a horizontal version I posted a while back, but just forgot to do it.

As always thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment or suggestion.

Great composition and, for me, a perfect shutter speed. I might whiten the white water a bit.

Interesting composition. I like the color and texture of the rocks against the milky water. I also like all of the leading lines created by the water and rock edges. They pull right into the image.

Ed, This works very nice for me. I think all the leading lines of the rock really draws one into the scene. Really nice colors and textures here as well. The 1/4 second shutter worked great giving a nice flowing feel but still with some detail. I wish I could see the complete larger version without having to scroll through it. Very nice work!

Real nice, Ed. Beautiful lines, shapes and contrasting textures. I could see burning down the rock along the left side to help focus the eye into the central part of the image and up the water flow.

I really like the sense of perspective you created with all the leading lines. In fact, the perspective feels exaggerated due to the long vertical format. I keep wanting to crop off some of the bottom but it seems to weaken the composition. Very nice. I can't come with any way to improve this other than small cosmetic changes.

Ed, excellent perspective and overall angle of view here. Shutter speed is dead on for the cascades involved and the FG area pulls it all together IMO. ....laugh

Burn down the rock on the left side and you will nail this one. You might also try to pull a little more detail out of the dark area on the upper right. The water looks great to me, and I love the warm red rock.

Ed, I like the framing of this. It's interesting to have the extra cascades coming in from left. Carries the eye nicely from front to back.

Exceptionally well composed image with perfect diagonals drawing one into the main cataract.  Nice use of depth of field and excellent exposure for the water texture.

Excellent, Ed. Great lead-in with the Fg rocks. The saturated colors of the water soaked rocks adds a lot to the image. What I really like is the little cascade coming in from the left. devil

Fantastic composition Ed. I really like the way this one sweeps my eye through the image, and the water is perfect.
