Hey Harry,
Don't recall seeing you in this Gallery before however, you should consider being a regular contributor from the looks of this enjoyable composition. Your processing choices are working well to create a very artistic feel that is inviting, colorful and full of interest. The large version is most impressive . . . Well done

Hi Mike - You are correct, I don't think I have ever post an image to this gallery. I just don't experiment much with post processing to create the art that is typical of this gallery. I really need to try it more. If I find more images this might work, I'll send them this way. Thanks!

A nice composition with the contrasting green and red foliage. There's a good 3-D quality to the image and there's a sense of symmetry with the largest tree in the middle with the trees getting smaller left and right. I'm not that familiar with the Orton effect and it would be interesting to see the shot processed without this effect for comparison.

Harry, I think you picked the perfect image to apply the Orton effect - this is superb.
Very well done, and I hope you'll venture into this Gallery often!

Wonderful, painterly image, Harry. Your use of the Orten effect was very successful, creating a stunning pallet of autumn colors, with the tree trunks woven through like a fine tapestry. Excellent.

I was merely there, a small, puny, awestruck man, praising Almighty God, with camera in hand.
Make a few images, well.

I think your treatment works well here, especially in the green ferns. I may prefer something in between the "realistic" prior posting and this one. Both are quite beautiful, but I do like the dreamy look that the Orton filter gives here.

Harry
I had not noticed this one until now. Congratulations on the WP. Very nice use of Orton. It really works with this image.
