Chobe, Botswana, Africa

This huge bull elephant took great exception to the presence of our vehicle and shook his head violently from side to side trumpeting loudly.  I guess it was pretty much a show and there was a half hearted mock charge and much ear flapping but then again when something the size of a house suddenly lunges towards you at 30mph I think it is more than a little concern that you feel stirring in your bowels.  Once again I decided on this stylised treatment which in this case ensures your attention is fully engaged by its striking presence.  Hope you like it.  This is the last in the series.

Fuji XT-1, 55-200mm zoom, f5.6 at 1/1000 Second, ISO 640.  Converted to black and white in channels additional contrast added and thereafter Threshold applied in PS5.

Really like this, although i long for just a bit more detail in the darker areas. The darkness does accentuate the mood of the elephant and it's menacing pose.
Very artful and effective!

It's all about the elephant here and you don't belong. This is really imposing Ian. Nicely done.
