Eva, I like the POV and especially how you've managed to emphasize the lower reaches of the trunk and leaves against the total leaf coverage of the sky.

Etched glass...
Very well done. I can see a crop of the left side without the trunk as a pure abstract.

Eva, this works well on B&W, with a nice diagonal flow from the LRC.

It's hard to imagine why someone would want to convert a typical NH foliage scene to B&W -- that is, until one sees this picture. Brilliant. You've nailed the composition, with the trunk and branches flowing diagonally from the lower right, and the leaves are precisely as detailed as they need to be (which for this sort of B&W image is pretty detailed, to get the contrast) without causing a confused, cluttered appearance. Very well done indeed!

This really comes to life in the large view.  The branches radiate to all of the corners and you have some nice tonal separation in the leaves to make this work in B&W.  Given that it is autumn in New England I would love to see this in color, though.

Thanks all for your input.  I thought there was some nice contrast to go B&W.  Thank you all.

I love the back lit tracery of the this fall image, Eva.  Very cool b/w. The dark branches radiating across the frame works perfectly.  I also love that this needs nothing else, just leaves and limbs.  Well done.

Eva, I really like this. Even though one would generally not think to convert a fall image to b&w, this is fantastic. Even without the color, this really says autumn to me. Leaves just don't glow like that in the summer. The composition is great as well, good eye to catch this!

A beautiful example of taking a scene and distilling it until all that remains is tones and form. The strong composition plays an important role toward the success of this photograph.

A delightful way to showcase the fall season.

Excellent eye Eva. I agree about the organized chaos part; not easy to do.
