Yesterday morning we had some heavy fog and rain so I decided to drive over to the 167 year old Hyde's Mill only about 25 miles away. I had been wanting to photograph this mill in some wet and foggy conditions so it looked like the perfect morning. Some of the fog had lifted but the look was just what I was after. Not another car or person around the whole time I was there and it was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. I set up my comp and then manually focused before shooting through a 6 stop ND filter to get the longer 6 second exposure. Larger version included for much better look.
Canon 5D3, 24mm, ISO 100, F/14 at 6 sec. 6 stop ND.

Nick, this is an intriguing composition and a wonderful presentation of this building for me, a real story teller.

I love the pano format along with the quiet reflective mood of this scene, Nick. This is my kind of weather as I can feel the dampness of the fog and mist. Your SS also works nicely as it helps the mood by giving the water a lovely ethereal effect. As an added bonus you got to enjoy this without a crowd. cool

This is so atmospheric, there's still just enough fog to do that without obscuring the details. For a moment I almost had an attack of pedantry and wondered how it would look if you tightened the composition by cropping off the waterfall on the right, but then I returned to my senses and said no, no, the waterfall is there for a purpose; it tells a story, it's part of the function of the mill. Lovely work.
