First light illuminates this ancient sea bed.  I have been told you can find sharks' teeth in these badlands.  I've had no luck with that, but have managed to fall in love with this country.

Very attractive capture.  The way you cropped at top is well done.  Sometimes the pesky sky does not cooperate.  Stunning Gary with great detail.

Very striking shot. The black and white enhances the stark contrast of the badlands.devil

The large version is a must see.  Beautiful job with your black and white composition and processing.  For my eye, I might have cropped just above the upper plateau.

Mighty fine view, GP. Getting rather picky, but I might experiment bringing down the higher tones on the formation along the top edge of the frame. Sweet spot and sweet image.

Excellent, Gary. Nice comp with great tones and pattern from the early light. Processing looks very good.

Gary, loads of drama as I might expect from you, excellent as usual.  The downward crop is a wise choice.  Gotta love canyon country, and who needs color with all that topography enlightened

Beautiful formations.  I especially like the central, lower 2/3rds of the image possibly due to the uniformity of the wavy rock.  Maybe try bringing up the lighter tones a hair to see what it does for the image.  Stunning area for sure.

Excellent Gary; lovely tones and lines. I believe there is a wonderful abstract crop in that bottom left 2/3rds as well.

I'd say "very low tide", Gary.  enlightened  The repeated erosion shapes and how they curl into the distance are wonderful.  I too could see a tighter crop at the top.

Wonderful image Gary, as usual.  Love these barren, though topographically diverse landscapes.  I have never seen this type of place in anything other than horrible, cloudless summer heat.  Love the title too!
