Harley and I spent a morning dinking around this little lake in Central Utah.  It took me a while to get the right vantage for this old tree.  I had to clone a bit of the bank top left and a few loose bits of flotsam.

Thanks for comments on my last image and I'd love to have your help with this one.

Wonderful mirrored image. I like how the branch/trunk is isolated from the rest with your use of the tones.

Gary,

Wow, this would be awesome in B&W!  Oh wait, it is. sad  Beautiful example of contrasts and how a random, chaotic arrangement of branches can become a single cohesive element.  I like that there is enough contrast and detail in the water to enhance this scene.  Love this!

Gary, This is so cool and I love how you captured it. I can see that you probably had to work at a comp that would work and you certainly did that. Wonderful light and dark contrast making this work so well. This looks great!

Love the stark graphic of the lighter toned tree against the darker toned water, Gary. I also like the fact that you kept separation between the two sections and did not let them merge. Great eye to spot this. As usual your B&W processing is spotless.
