Last Good Bye - Upper Mammoth Terraces, Yellowstone NP. A morbid, thought provoking landscape in Yellowstone. The trees seem to be hugging each other at the end of life. Frozen in time.

Thanks for you comments an critiques on my previous Yellowstone images.  Thank for having a look.

Eva, I would do a small crop along the top just enough to eliminate the green strip top left. Other than that this is my favorite of the recent Yellowstone images. Pretty close call with the second one however. Great title!

Excellent capture of the stark beauty and unique landscape of this area, Eva. I think the repost is an improvement. You might consider cropping down even further to exclude the green trees in the URC. I realize this would significantly change the format, but this would simplify the image.

I like the starkness and color change a lot. I might try a pano taking the greens off the top?

Interesting. I was thinking the same as they are; I'd be tempted to do the pano crop. I love the dead trees and rolling yellow; cropping to a pano takes to an almost abstract level.

Love the pano crop, Eva.  The crop really makes the image sing.  Very nice.

Reminds me a bit of Pompei.   The trees are the focus of the image dynamics!

Interesting perception.  Thanks fro sharing, as always giving ideas and inspiration.

Cheers:   Tom

2nd crop is a winner from my point of view.

One final small suggestion: crop the tree on the right off up to the end of its green bush. See if you like that.
