One of the places I have always wanted to go but have yet to make the trip. I like the stark scene with the thermal pools. It think it would of been interesting to have the 3 trees centered in the middle of the image (if possible) to balance out the image.

Well thought out and composed image. It's complex, which makes me want to explore all the nooks and crannies. Aside from the dead trees I like the dark distant hills and the steam drifting in from the right. The brown foreground also invites exploration. Overall it's a dreary sort of place yet the steam offers hope. I find this fairly emotional subject. I wouldn't crop this in any way, the spacing seems perfect to me. The small whiter strata peeking in from the left is a bit intrusive to me. I might darken it's highlights just a tad but I wouldn't crop it out.

I agree with Igor, in that the comp really makes me explore the image. Everything fits very well and the background makes a great statement about this otherworldly and crazy place. Beautiful image.

Stark beauty. Real nicely done. I might burn down the bright areas along the top left (much more apparent in the large version). Very well done.

Eva, there's a fine bit of extra contrast in the larger view that adds a lot to this scene. The touches of color work well and the heavy mist rising adds extra context. The dead trees are "old friends" and I'm always amazed at how quickly this area changes. 5 years ago there was strong flow and lots of color starting in what is the middle left edge here (just above and left of the leftmost tree) that flowed between the three taller trees.

Eva, The larger view of this is very interesting to look at. You sure captured the feel and mood of this place in this shot. Really well done.

Stark and desolate. The inclusion of that background works really well.
