Really cool shot. The lighting, comp., and processing is just eye catching. The only very slight recommendation might be to clone a little of the dark area over the top-most blade of grass that is exiting the frame. That would keep a dark boarder around the image. Just works better for me.

Love the strong graphics, with the deep dark background as a canvas for the wonderful lines and luminance of the grasses. Excellent work. The larger, detail image is a joy to view.

I was merely there, a small, puny, awestruck man, praising Almighty God, with camera in hand.
Make a few images, well.

Roel,
I'm surprised this hasn't received more comments. then again, it's been noticeably slower around here.... ;-(
I'm finding this fascinating! The green grasses and the subtle tree reflections help identify what we're looking at, and of course the graphic appeal is terrific here. What I'm drawn to are the brown grasses. It's near impossible to discern the line between the real thing and the reflection. The resulting visual makes the brown ones look like little streaks of something, like you caught small leaves floating with a 1/2s exposure. Very cool.
No nits at all, I love this.
I suppose if you were a fanatic, you could clone out all the little white specs of stuff floating on the water... but that would be quite tedious..

This image has some very nice abstract qualities and it's very different from what I typically see you do.I find it quite fascinating with the type of lighting you have employed and the dark background and foreground.

This is a very intriguing and mystical abstract. I like this a lot, Roel. It is very different.

This combination of literal details and abstract forms is a work of art. I think that one of the keys to the success of the image is the way the central row of longer grasses lines up to form a an orderly form greatly enhanced by its mirror image. Congratulations on capturing and processing it so well, but even more, congratulations on seeing the potential of shit simple but beautiful scene.

The beauty and genius of a work of art may be reconceived, though its first material expression be destroyed; a vanished harmony may yet again inspire the composer; but when the last individual of a race of living beings breathes no more, another heaven and another earth must pass before such a one can be again.
