The color combo in this rock abstract is really sweet.  Love the inclusion of the little plant.  Very nice.

this is a good color combination and like the layers. I actually thought the plant was distracting me.

Excellent abstract. I love the colors and patterns and the plant is a nice touch of the less abstract. I might clone out the whte stick coming out of the plant to the left?  It also works for me without the plant. Win/win in my book.  Beautiful image.

Wonderful find Roel.  I love the color pallet and geometric patterns.  Looks like a puzzle.

Hi Roel,

I find patterns of the rock and complimentary colors to be really nice in this image. I kind of like this image with out the plant, but who knows I have been leaning more towards abstracts lately. However, The balance of the geometric rock shape would be off a bit if you cropped this image, so I think the plant works overall in this scene.

Sweet vision to see this scene

This is a fascinating petrologic abstract.  I'm on the fence concerning the presence of the little plant.  It does make the composition a little less abstract.  But whether that is a positive or a negative element is a matter of personal preference I guess.  I think that if the plant had been somewhat larger, it would have better complemented the rock and would have been a stronger element in the composition.  But in my humble opinion, the smallness of the plant makes it more of a distraction to my eye and to the pure abstract quality of the rock.  That said, this is still a very interesting and superb composition.

I love the abstract quality of this shot, the wonderful colors and patterns and textures. The clump of bright foliage in the lower left corner sets off the colors well and gives a little bit of scale to the photo. Very nicely seen.

This is way cool, Roel.  The iridescent tones in the layers of rock are nicely different and that bit of vegetation in the lower left adds a fine pop of reality in a nicely abstract view.  Well seen.

A pretty nice find -- lots of sweet abstract possibilities.  I think the plant detracts quite a bit, though.

I like your composition. The tension between the plant and the rest of the image creates interest for me. I don't think the image without the plant would be as interesting. I'm not sure about the intensity of that plant, however, especially the greens. It seems to strong. But if you make it to 'drab' it gets lost due to it's size and location and things start to fall apart. Incidentally as I start to crop down from the top the composition with the plant gets stronger because the image becomes simpler and the plant gets bigger.

Nice find with the patterns and colors in the rock.  I like the addition of the shrub in the LLC. The plant seems to be a little oversaturated, but that is what makes it stand out.
