Sund, Lofoten, Norway

The most beautiful shaft of golden sunlight burst through hanging snow filled clouds to illuminate the flanks of the jagged snow covered peaks on the opposite side of the fjord. This edge of light material with it's opposing blue and gold hues is some of my favourite and very transient light. Of course the weather proves very edgy and seconds later the scene was quite literally consumed by a heavy snow shower that added another inch to the foreground bedrock. Hope you like it thus far it is one of my favourite shots I have taken in Lofoten.

Beautiful, I love this light and the colours and gorgeous reflection of mountain in the water. I can understand very well that it's one of your favorites shot.

Beautiful Ian. You really seem to be in the right place at the right time. I beginning to think it's more than a coincidence. Very, very nice.

I can see why it's one of your favourites Ian, the golden light hitting the mountain with the lovely blue sky behind looks great. I like your choice of framing too, creating interest from front to back.
