Elphin, Assynt, Scotland

I have no idea if Jack actually did build this wee house but he certainly ought to have done. It's straight out of a nursery rhyme or fairy tale in appearance, and if location matters in terms of property value and the credance that a decent view is given in respect of house value, then this one must surely belong to a millionaire. I have photographed this wee house on a few occasions with Cul Mor or Suilven behind it but never have I been treated to a sky of this quality.

What's not to like about this image? Everything in place, nice lighting, and nice processing. The image evokes a very calm and peaceful feeling. Ideal for hanging in the home.

This is great Ian! I am no fan of man mdae objects in photos, but this is just perfect. The light is perfect, the sky is perfect, and the colors of the landscape finish it off. Must look superb as a print!

I like it a lot Ian. A great man and nature scene where the human element is required to make it work, or put differently, the house(s) and the tracks blend in flawlessly and add to the overall impact.

You’ve mastered soft inviting tones and color blends in your landscapes. This excels. Well done. A vivid pastoral scene.

Superb landscape photo. The small stone house is an excellent focal point of this photo. There is a great use of depth of field to hold the viewer in the foreground house, as well as the mountains in BG, and the excellent lighting conditions have allowed for very good color saturation. The overall impact is very strong. Well done Ian.

Absolutely beautiful. Liked everything about this image - the house, grass in the FG and the mountain in the back drop...
