Cummingston, Moray, Scotland.

The colours of the Scottish beaches along the Moray coast have for a long time fascinated me. I am a great believer in letting nature form it's own art work and in truth I get a lot more satisfaction from finding these features than I would if I interfered with them in anyway. This little collection of coloured pebbles is simply found and photographed within its cradle of blotchy sandstone bedrock in typically muted Scottish light, doubtless it will be erased on the next high tide. I hope you enjoy it.

The larger view is better and for some reason more vibrant.

Nicely seen intimate landscape, Ian. I enjoy the juxtaposition of the warm tones in the sandstone with the cool tones of the rocks.

Wonderful, with the warm/cool contrast between the sandstone and that great collection of pebbles. Well seen!

This is beautiful, Ian, and I agree that nature is the best artist. The larger view is superb. So much to see and enjoy in this one.

Reminds me a bit of your "womb" image from some time back. The shape is a bit less pronounced here, but still very effective. I like the contrast between the cool stones and the warm "bosom".
