Stunning shot! The tree really makes this image. You could try some dodging and burning to lessen the illusion of there being a grad line. There also appears to be a halo or an illusion of a halo above the cliffs on the middle right. And better clone out that sliver of a road before this gets moved to M&N.

I am always left slacked jaw staring at your work Ian. Fantastic light you've captured.
However, in this one instance of all that I have seen from you, the ND grad is very apparent and I think takes away from the image's impact. I do realize it was a difficult horizon to deal with, but maybe there is some post work you could do to lessen its appearance.
As always looking forward for more of your work.

Ian,
Just as you've described it - jaw dropping beautiful! Great description and quite appropriate. A stunning landscape.
Normally I might be distracted by the bright highlight on the left, but somehow that reflected sun seems to be what is illuminating the entire landscape. Gorgeous.
Hope you understand, but trying to be consistent here and I'm going to move this to the Man & Nature Gallery after posting my comment. Honestly, the curved road is the one thing that takes away from this otherwise gorgeous landscape.

I never get tired of your views of this place Ian. It is a truly magical landscape and hope I can get back there at some point. I remember the sideways rain and strong wind but more so that amazing, astonishing light and color.

Marvellous photo. The perfectly lit hill slope is an excellent focal point of this photo. There is a great use of depth of field to hold the viewer in the foreground tree as well as mountains in BG, and the excellent lighting conditions have allowed for very good color saturation. The overall impact is very strong. Very well done Ian.
