It is most intriguing. And well crafted too. Other than the three rocks or pebbles, I still haven't figured out what the rest is, but the mystery, thereof, fuels more interest in the image.

I agree Ian, this is one of my favorite images from you as well! And why would this be perceived as offensive?
Well seen!

To quote another favorite photographer of mine..... Edward Weston..... "This then: to photograph a rock, have it look like a rock, but be more than a rock. Significant presentation not interpretation."
Great lines, textures, color, and light. Wonderful abstract Ian and fantastic presentation. I guess each person who looks at this will see something different. Not offensive at all.

Interesting and artistic. It almost looks like two photos in one. Accept for the mid section, this looks much like an aerial shot.

Excellent Ian!
I'm with Richard's comment. The perimeter area does indeed come across as an aerial to me, but the stones and the polished center change that. Certainly makes for a great, natural abstract.
And just like Eva said, we're all going to see something different. And for the life of me, I'm not seeing what could be offensive! Just not seeing it. ;-)

not sure what you think might be offensive here, ian, but your comment invites us to be curious about the evil workings of your mind: what might you think is offensive?!
super forms and colour here. as a person who has spent a reasonable amount of time photographing rocks, i can truly appreciate this.

Fantastic shot Ian, I really like all the natural curves, lines and shapes. The soft colour couldn't be nicer.

Absolutely wonderful, Ian, and I can't imagine this causing anyone any grief. This is art in the truest and most complete sense and I love your vision here. Very well done!

Well, since you raised concerns that this might come across as offensive, I tried to figure what people could possibly see as offensive. You gave a hint: vaguely gynaecological, while not only the latter word is the hint for me...
Ok, and of course this is very beautiful.

Very nice, Ian. Offensive? - why? Just curious, from a compositional standpoint, if it might also work by introducing the standard "rule of thirds" into it by rotating the frame a bit and placing the little pool closer to the corner of the frame - just a thought.
