Wonderfully simple! It feels like a vision or a dreamscape. I like the hint of horizon in the distance. This is great as presented but I might also consider cropping 1/2 to 2/3 rds of the sky above it.

Wonderful dreamy simplicity to this. I like it a lot. I would concur that a top crop would work nicely, but also works as presented. Very cool image!

I always like the "purity" in your images, and in this one, this is particularly pronounced. A very "essential" composition.

Great!!!!!
I dont like that the horizon line disappears. I wish it held faint detail there. But great nonetheless.

Very ethereal with beautiful simplicity. Placement of all the elements and tonal range is splendid Stuart. I also like the vanishing horizon.

Splendid. Very simple, yet extremely powerful image. I like the way the two rocks in the foreground and in the middle are cut, while the rock with the tree is all there. In my opinion these choices produce a very dynamical picture. One of the best I have seen lately....

A wonderful capture, Stuart. I like how the two side rocks guide our line of sight and contain it toward the main subject the rear rock and tree. One of those really hard to find simplistic scenes that really holds a very high interest level......

thanks to all. hope that this had given you a zen moment in your busy lives ... mark, i suppose i could have made more of the horizon but, personally, i kinda liked the suggestion of it and the fact it faded to obscurity to the right! thanks again.

A fascinating image, Stuart. I just love how you have placed the three rocks within the frame to make for such a powerful composition. The barely visible horizon is a wonderful touch.

Quite stunning. The line at horizon? is prominent though. Other wise, simple and very well composed. Love the BW

A classically beautiful b&w comp Stuart. Excellent placement of the rocks in the frame and the smooth negative space is perfectly balanced. I agree that the disappearing horizon on the right is a shame, but a beautiful shot it is none the less.
