this is a companion piece to a lily image that i previously posted in the Flora gallery (i guess you can compare it in my gallery - that one was also included in my selection of photos from 2011 - download link here) but i have only just got round to scanning this.

thanks for looking; thoughts?

Love the light and contrast Stuart. The delicate white lines add a gracefulness to this wonderful, abstract scene.

Beautiful! This is just a wonderful b/w image, Stuart. Composition is excellent! This has such a nice feel and I really like the texture in the lily pads.

Simply stunning!!! One of the best images I have seen on NPN since joining in 2003.

It always amazes me that such work hardly gets noticed around here. Very unfortunate indeed.

Nicely composed scene Stuart. On closer inspection I like how I can see some of the vegetation through the black background. Great B&W image.

Wonderful B&W abstract! Would like to see more detail, but the smaller size limits this. Bet this made a beautiful large print.

Great minimal piece. Beautifully processed. I can imagine it looking amazing as an actual Gelatin Silver Print matted with a white window mat and framed with a simple black frame.Beautiful.
