spot on, rob. it's actually the inside of the lighthouse lamp - looking up into the two fresnel lenses. this particular lighthouse is on baixa do pinda in northern mozambique, with the fresnel lenses being manufacturer in france in the mid nineteenth century. it warns shipping of a vast sand bank - stretching some five km out to sea and some ten km wide; this sandbank has wonderful turquoise blues - and the area is so large it reflects onto the clouds if they happen to be passing over it! my colour trannies of the turquoise expanse are on the way ....

It's the Fresnel lens inside the light of a lighthouse. I've seen them before and they are quite cool! Good job.

Strong triangular elements.
Great tones.
Oblong rounded element disconcerting.
Nice symmetry.

Very interesting! I recognized it too, but never had the vision to try for a close shot like this. Congrats on your boldness.

The beauty and genius of a work of art may be reconceived, though its first material expression be destroyed; a vanished harmony may yet again inspire the composer; but when the last individual of a race of living beings breathes no more, another heaven and another earth must pass before such a one can be again. Very cool ! I don't care what it is. I like it as an insect with a gas mask.

What a unique image! Great work and congrats on the Pick. In addition to the IQ, it would get my vote because of originality!
