You will be glad to know that this is the last of my Amaryllis series! They are truly majestic flowers and I have photograph them in the dark, in the light, x-rayed them and now a scan. The scanner is placed on its side with the flower standing up-right.

Epson 4990, CS5, Viveza2, Tk lum mask, Websharpner. Applied a zoom blur to the petals to simulate some movement. Thanks for looking at this and for comments to all the previous Amaryllis.

I got tired of cloning out all the dust and pollon grains . Will get out the healing spot tool again later

Gary, this is beautiful. I especially love the lighting on the top petals. And I certainly know what you mean about the dust specks. Thanks for sharing your scan work. It's inspirational for me to continue on this path. Lovely.

Great way to scan this Gary. Certainly has no "flat" spots scanning this way. Scanning/post processing first class. Dusting and cleaning... Where's the perseverance Gary???

Radiant. Dust spots aside, one of the best scans I've ever seen.

Bob:
I did the processing late one night while still suffering from 'jet-lag' from my recent trip to UK. Also presbyopia did not help. I thought I got all the dust and pollens but they re-surfaced after I sharpen the image.

Wow, this is amazing, Gary! Love the depth that scanning gives to images; it really helps bring out the beauty of this flower. I also really like how the bright lighting focuses on the tack sharp stamens. Wonderful!

Superb, Gary ! The way the light falls along the line of stigma and anthers is what makes this particularly special for me, but the overall lighting is so good for bringing out the petal textures too.

Gary,

This image is one of the best I have seen. I especially like the rich color of the stamens. A job well done.

Beautiful, I'd not have guessed it was a scan, probably due to the simulated movement. Most creative. Lovely image

I love the rich looks to the petals and the comp is really nice Gary. Take care of the dust spots and this will be a true winner!
