Pitcher plants are beautiful and not easy to photograph in the wild. the lighting here makes this plant shine and I like the centered composition. The background however needs some work. I'm seeing some weird lines and a lot of noise (the weird lines may be from the smoke created by the candles). I'd try and do a double process on this where you make the background real black and eliminate any noise while retaining the colors of the flower.

Beautiful light and color. I think that elegant is a good word to describe this image.

Wow, Gary! Beautiful control of the lighting and effect. Simply a stunning image and a true work of art.
For the web, the compression on the highlights at the bottom of the pitcher are very distracting. I am sure in print these look luminous, but online, they are crunchy and have a weird color. I like the background color, but it, too is doing some weird banding. If it is present in the original, I'd probably blur the bg in photoshop to get rid of it, if possible.
I love all the detail you have captured here and appreciate the thought that went into the lighting and setup. Very well crafted and presented!

Excellent lighting Gary. Very nicely portrayed. I like the centered comp to show the symmetry.

Gary, a search for transparency with unusual lights. Your endless experimentation is commendable. I agree with Luke comment.
Take care.

To be honest i don't think this is up to your usual standards here. The lighting is interesting for sure, and the subject is bold, but it feels too static/centered to me, and i find the highlites up top are too strong. Way beyond my expertise, just not grabbing me here.
