Patterns in the Ice

I keep seeing things in this. It almost looks like a picture of earth from outer space...... There is snow on most of the lakes, but sometimes along the edge there is some bare ice, and that's what this is. Overflow and ice crystals made for interesting patterns and colors.
Beautiful day; cold, but sunny.

Comment welcome.

Wonderful textures and colors. My only thought is to crop the blues at the top as that way the center blues become more of a focal point for the image.

This is outstanding. Love the pattern, textures, and the pastel colors. Think I too would crop a bit off the top as Tony suggested and a bit off the right hand side so as to focus attention more on the remarkable 'topography' of the center and left hand ice. Amazing how you found and have isolated an abstract from a large area of ice; we photographers so often focus more on ice patterns up close. Really does remind one of images from space, perhaps of the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. Beautiful work. Always enjoy seeing your images from Alaska.

Make a few images, well.

This view really does mess with the mind when it comes to scale.
