An mid-summer scene along the C&O Canal attempting to catch how green the eastern forests can be.  (5D3, 24-70 f2.8 @ 70 mm, 1/10s, f/9, iso 200, tripod and polarizer.)

Beautiful greens with the gray rocks and brighter green trees really popping well.  I really like the reflection and the smoothness of the water.  The C&O Canal has always been one of my favorite places in the DC area.  Is this near Great Falls?

Wow, those really stand out. Part of it is due to the yellow green vs cyan green. To give it more of a late afternoon look you could burn down the highlights a bit? Nice image. I like the overall composition very much.

David, This is an area called Widewater that's roughly 1/4 mile upstream from the Old Angler's Inn access.

The two trees and the rocks they are on stand out nicely against the darker background and water.
