Beautiful Dave especially the large version is it Alaska or Iceland or similar? I particularly like the star ice pattern on the foreground stream which is plainly visible in the large image.

This is really nice. Great detail in the large version and the stream creates a nice leading line into the scene. I spent the last few weekends skiing at Mammoth and got down here for a couple of sunsets. It's also nice to get some snow after such a dry season.

I'm enjoying the soft light with the subtle pink glow. I also like the ice formation in the foreground stream. Compositionally the dominant lines seem to point out of the frame in the upper right hand third, but that's being extremely picky. While my eyes do tend to get stuck there a bit, the brighter tones in the snow on the left hand side of the frame (as well as the pink glow) do help to balance out the composition.

Great shot Dave. You did a fantastic job of capturing the wonderful conditions in this scene. The light and colors are beautiful and this comp works great for me. This has such a nice mood and I find it very inviting...I can enjoy the cold. Love the textures and fine detail. Really nice work!

Beautiful peaceful sunrise. Very nicely understated, too. I might clone out the bits of snow in the ice bottom center of frame, but that is getting pretty dang picky. Real nice take away from a cold morning on the east side.

Beautiful. One tweak I would try would be a very slight crop from the bottom, mostly as a feeling kind of thing to move the eye into the scene.

Love that bit of pink...and the leading line of the icy stream. The light here is lovely.
I can't imagine what you could have done better, this is wonderful to look at.

Dave, you have a real pastel beauty here, what a lovely image. I especially like the ice formations in the creek, they are the icing on the cake here. Your processing is excellent, you have really captured all the subtle pastel tones in this scene.
Outstanding image !!!!

Great view and lighting - the ice in the creek catches my eye. Wondering if you were able to use them as a FG in a vertical. Look like talons.

This is flat out gorgeous, Dave. The combination of warm and cool colors works beautifully as does the diagonal lead in of ice encrusted water. When opening the large version the edges of ice along the open water become even more fascinating. Even though this scene screams cold it is still inviting. Beautifully done.

This is the kind of combination of winter snow and coloured sky I think is most appealing. Two small nits. Firstly I feel that the leading line travels a little too far towards the edge of the frame taking the eye off on a tangent. Secondly the brownish grey water is the least likeable part of the scene, might be possible to move the colour balance of it say to cooler tones for a nicer look. In any case, I find this to be a really beautiful photo.
