I made this image along the Kings River during one of my late summer backpacking trips. Due to the extensive snow melt this area was surprisingly green and lush into September.

The colors and scene are gorgeous, Dave!  The reflected greens seem a bit too saturated, but since the greens in the land look fine, I'm thinking that may be due to how Adobe adds saturation as it darkens colors.

Nice high country view, and as you said, surprisingly lush for Sept. The reflected colors look a little on the intense side to my eye.

Mark, Harley,
Thanks for the comments. The water in this river was remarkably emerald color but I've de-saturated. Does this work better?

Looks like an inviting dipping pool after a hot backpack.  Repost looks great.  hard to believe this is September.

The repost is better for me, maybe even a tad less saturation but color is in artistic preference so it is certainly attractive, the usual clarity in your processing.

Dave, this is excellent! The subtle light on the peaks is beautiful, and the colors are amazing (better in the repost, I think). I have never seen the Sierra so green, and amazing that this is September! No nits to be found here. This is just making me want to go back to the Sierra, not that I need much provoking for that.
