Mark, diffracted light on webs has always fascinated me. This reminds me of the star gate sequence in the beautifully photographed Kubrick classic 2001. I like the original, and it would also look good even without its occupant. This seems like a cool project for experimenting under different lighting conditions, and weather (for the dew). Thanks for sharing

Mark...having worked on iridescent webs, I personally have felt that daylight white balance brings out the colors of the iridescence better.  The darker bg is what I prefer. Having said that I love the one posted. The marginal off center and the spider sharp all works very well here. You very lucky not to have a breeze.. ;-)

Balan, I do all of my shooting in RAW. One of the fun parts of views like this is how much the colors and their locations change as I move the camera a few inches.
