I went out on Tuesday looking for a bridge shot for this week's challenge and got rewarded with this sunset, looking west along the Potomac from the confluence of the Monocacy and Potomac Rivers.  (5D3, 24-70 f2.8 @ 24mm, 1/30s, f/8, iso 200, tripod)

Beautiful Mark.  Love the  silhouette of the shoreline and those are some amazing colors.  Really nice.

Awh, the Potomac, brings back memories.  I used to work at Quantico, and my office was right there at the pier.  I saw some beautiful sunrises there.  You really captured a beautiful sky.  Love the shapes of the clouds, and the colors, reflections.  Nicely done.

Really enjoy that sky and its reflections on the river. The image has th elook and feel of an oil panting, maybe more so if processed softer...very lovely, Mark.

Excellent image, Mark. Beautiful stormy colors in the sky, and well composed for the conditions and reflection. I like the way those clouds practically circle the entire image. Very nice effect.

Real nice, Mark. Beautiful reflection and real fine depth to the image, too.

The sky is so incredible you really don't care that you can't see any details in the land.  I am curious about what an HDR blend would do in this situation though.  The large version is amazing!  Very nice skyscape, Mark!
