More fun in Columbia State Park.  I spied these wagon wheels through one of the building windows.  A bit contorted getting this with the tripod over a fence and then camera pushed against the glass to minimize reflections... Enhanced enough in PS that this could go in PA, but posted here.  The rear wheel was red and the front one was washed out with some color, so I decided to go b&w for everything and then painted back in the red.  Enhanced more, including an Orton layer.   I wanted most everything else, especially some distracting elements up top to go dark.

Would love to hear your thoughts and comments.  thanks for comments on my previous POP images.

Thanks!

Love this! Of course I love your California green hills and oak trees too, but this is a nice change of pace and a fun image. Great use of light, shadow and the red really makes it. Wonderful! They should sell it in the gift store there.

I really like what you did here, Lon. The red spokes really pop.. You did fine job processing this one.

Lon: this is a very imaginative and creative use of light and line. Keeping the red was a very good approach. Richard

Congrats on the WP here on this nice image, Lon. Your talent with PS made for a really neat final image overall. If you'd not mentioned the changes I'd never noticed and still do not see any tell tale items to prove otherwise. Once again, gives the flavor of those Bodie type scenes too.......laugh

I really like the play of light and shadow in this image. It gives it a sense of mystery. I always enjoy your eye for finding interesting and unique images. It challenges me to be more attentive to everything around me.
