I can only imagine the amounts of snow in those mountains now! Maybe these grasses are now covered in snow! A pleasing comp with the leading water channel. The grasses seem overly red/orange to me - just not used to seeing them presented as such. The steam? on the far left is a nice detail that the big version reveals. Maybe near Mammoth Hot Springs? No problem in the magenta for me. Solid comp.

Stunning image, Dave. It makes me cold! In a good way, tho. Early light can have that coloration and it will affect everything in the scene. Cameras will collect a lot of it. Great comp and processing.

Really nice, Dave. Your images from the Eastern Sierra have been remarkable and this is exceptional. Not too much magenta for me. I like the centered comp and the glow through out is perfect for the time of day. Beautiful.

Dave,
Yet another beautiful winner from the Eastern Sierra. You are single handedly making me want to make the trek there again.
Love the comp and the alpen glow and early morning light across the snowy landscape. I don't think the red/magenta is overly strong, although apparent. As Jeffrey points out, I think the light/color is appropriate considering the time of day and conditions. Having said that, I think the edge along the creek's right side is stronger than any where else, if that helps.
Great imagery!
Lon

Another beautiful image from your morning at this location, Dave. Everything looks great to me. The color looks just right to me, soft and beautiful, and not overdone. Even the snow looks right on.

Beautiful light and scene. The colors work for me. I might consider a little CCW rotation, but that is minor. Looking at this image does make me thirsty for a beer though. Maybe you can help with that?

Beautiful light and color. The magenta works for me. As with the other image this is nicely composed.

I know this area well and this looks good to me. Drove by here yesterday and it's under about 3 to 4 new snow.
