Dave,
Awesome! What a change from your previous image from here! The light on the peak is beautiful and really adds to the image. A nice contrast too between the steamy/misty landscape and the brilliance of the light striking the peaks. Beautiful image
A little side note. I posted the following on your previous version. So for those that missed your post, here is some trivia:
"Now I'm sure you know this Dave, but thought I would post for others to know. For all you movie buffs or John Wayn fans, this scene right here was one of the many filming locations for the original True Grit. Just below the LL of Dave's image was the location of Ned Pepper's hideout. Anyway, just a bit of trivia. You can see some original location pics here. Fun stuff."
Thanks for posting!
Lon

Sweet image Dave. Love the serpentine course of the stream leading to the lit peak. Very nice.

Nice work with the filter and polarizer. Bothered artistically with the black steam rising into that pristine sky, but I think you have a captured a beautiful image, Dave.

Beautiful, Dave. The water s-curves its way up the valley right to the mountains accented with sweet light, and the rising steam adds mood, interest and uniqueness.

The light on the peak is really brilliant! I really like how the steam adds to the atmosphere here. Really nicely done.

I really like that rising steam. It's mesmerizing, and the winding water pulls your eye all the way through the image. Good job on getting the steam to show well.

This is very nice, Dave. I like the way that the creek weaves around the foreground leading my eye back and forth through the frame on its way to the glowing peaks while the steam adds a lot of interest in the frame. The clear skies are well suited to this image as they complement, but don't compete with the other visual elements in the scene.
