Wow, a really nice abstract Vance. I am always fascinated when I see pond, and especially, river grasses, bending to the current. The black background sets off the grasses well and the horizontal composition works for the subject.

Vance, I agree with Jim ... nice abstract and I too like the black BG. I actually prefer the smaller image perspective. Nicely done!

Looks like a great pattern to me, Vance. It's quite striking with the horizontal flow of the grasses. In the larger version the random bits where there are short vertical elements adds lots of extra interest.
