Hi Vance, Yes, I find this very appealing too! The cool and warm tones look wonderful. Your comp works really nice and I love the light you made this shot in. Beautiful image!

Apart from the wonderful contrast between leaves and bare trees, the warm light giving definition to the trunks is the icing on the cake.

I like the tension between the cold bare trees on the left and the warm leaves on the right. I do wonder if cropping a bit from the left would make for a better balance as my attention is getting pulled to the left. I could also see cropping to focus on the willow, but that's a very different image and this one works well.

I like all the visual tension here with the horizontal presentation of the vertical tree trunks and the lone willow with it's yellow leaves surrounded by the leafless cottonwoods. Gorgeous image, Vance.

Sweet! The last golden leaves against bare tree tops are a natural draw but the comp pulls it together with great balance.

Wonderful patterns Vance! This may be one of those photos that photogs will appreciate more than the general population (?), but the patterns and light work perfectly together. The large version is a must.
