One of the rising stars on the Flora and Macro galleries especially is Gary Yeoh. Gary has been a member not quite two years and has made some major contributions to Flora especially. He just passed the 5000 comment mark today. Gary has experimented with scanning, floral radiography, Chinese flower arrangements and their imaging, and some of the finest water flower shots in the gallery. Take some time to view his personal gallery and join me in thanking Gary for his part in making NPN's the finest Flora gallery on the planet. >=))> |

Congratulations, Gary! Your work is inspirational for me. Consistently fine work with chosen subjects, composition, lighting and presentation, we can aspire to, and be challenged to meet, your mark of excellence. Thank you so much for the model you set for community involvement, too, which this milestone represents.

Thanks Bill, it was you who nudged me into joining when I was trying out NPN as a guest and this is the best investment I have made in photography.
I have benefited HUGELY from participating in NPN and I thank you all for your help in so many ways - choosing equipment, critiques on my images, encouragement and cyber friendship. I learn something from each of the 5K images I have critiqued - sometimes its the composition, or equipment used, POV I have not thought about, the lighting, new techniques or simply mistake I should avoid or lookout for in my own composition.

Congratulations, Gary. It's a pleasure to see your images and receive your comments/suggestions. The radiography is terrific, now if only we could get a portable radiograph camera and government approval, of course.
