I am an amateur photographer from Bangalore, India. For day time, I work as an executive in a multi-national IT company. I take photographs over the week-ends. I have been pursuing Photography as a hobby for the past 20 years. But over the last 3 years, I had the opportunity to work with some brilliant Wildlife Photographers in India. This had increased my interest and seriousness in photography multiple times.
The areas of photography in which I am mostly engage are: Wildlife, Birds, Macro and Architecture. These subjects seem to be abundant around Bangalore in South India, where I live. I am also trying my hand at discreet portraits and abstracts.
I realize that I am perhaps in the first rung of the ladder of learning. I would like to hear open criticism on my works as I feel that I will be able to improve only from such feedback.
Generally, it is not possible to end the intro without referring to the gear. Here is what I have:
Digital SLR - Pentax *istDL, Pentax K10D
Lenses that I use most often - Pentax 16-45, Pentax 50 1.7, Sigma 180, Sigma 50-500
Flashes - Pentax AF360Z, Metz (I am not a fan of flashes and most of my pictures are not taken with flash
Tripod - Manfroto 190 with Ball Head
I am in the process of setting up my web-site. I am hoping to get this up and running soon.
