Perching Birds

Keywords: Bird, Bee-Eater

Blue Tailed Bee-Eater is a beautiful common bird living in tropical regions. They thrive on insects. The name Bee-Eater comes from their ability to catch Bees in flight. Their unique hunting flight in which the Bee Eater first soars to 10 feet and then dives to catch the insect. Other popular food for Bee Eaters are Dragonflies. After catching the Bee, it tosses the Bee in the air and lets the Bee drop into its open mouth. This is a wonderful moment I am yet to get a good capture.
