Made this image last week at Corbet National Park in India.
Details - Nikon D200, 600mm f4 af-s, Gitzo 1500 plus Wimberley on a Safari Vehicle, very close to full frame (cropped a bit at the top).
Thanks for your views.

The shallow dof and perfect focus makes this for me! Nice action, great colour and the contrast of a smooth sky and textured skin works very well. Great shot!

Beauty. Nice moment, and great grass! By the way, Jim Corbett's books made me long to get out there someday. Cool that there's a park named for him.

Ganesh, this is an amazing image. Your chosen DOF works very well here. You've somehow managed to convey the feeling of a contented elephant. My only suggestion would be to crop some of the sky so that the horizon doesn't split the image in half.

What fine action, Ganesh.

The in focus FG grass is an added plus.

Nice simple image composing (and i mean simple in a true positive meaning). The Blue / green background contrasts yery fine with elephant. Maybe you can crop the image a little bit in the front.

Nice shot.
