A local farmhouse in Sandy, Oregon with a large blueberry patch in front; A very peaceful scene I pass often. It's lovely in all 4 seasons.

I gave them a framed print of this image for a Christmas present - I always pick lots of berries here every fall.

D200, 18-200 VR, handheld
Exposure time: 1/30
F-stop: 4.5
ISO speed: 250
Focal length: 44.0000

Small crop, 4 sides

Sandy,
At least there is snow there! Looks like Vermont and maybe the whole NE may have a warm and brown Christmas. I like the bright color of the house in this and the Christmas lights best.

Very nice, Sandy, and a nice gesture of you to give them a framed print.

Sandy: This is just excellent. I like the whisp of smoke from the chimney. A wonderful image. >=))>

PS: I might turn it about 1° CW

The blueberry patch provides a nice set of leading lines to pull you into the farmhouse. I really like the color of the house too. It is a nice focal point.

This has a great homey feel to it, and the color of the house works perfectly to help it stand out. My one minor suggestion would be to try to punch up the Christmas lights a bit more, but then again, that could be a personal preference thing.

I like the splash of color the house provides. "To Grandma's House we go" comes to mind when viewing this!

Sandy, one of your best images yet. Not only did you capture the scene, you captured the mood with this one. That's what art is all about. The old style large Christmas bulbs are a fantastic detail.

Absolutely wonderful. Working right around your local area sometimes is just the best, isn't it?
