The wind at my back

The weather on the Isle of Harris is amazingly unpredictable. Whilst strolling across the sand dunes and cloud suddenly engulfed the mountains and I managed this snap of my wife as we had a break.

This has a timeless feel to it. I like the feeling of contemplation, the peace and the bleakness of the surroundings. Penny for the thoughts?

A glorious scene of (wo)man at one with nature. The B&W conversion is stunning.

This is awesome. This might be my favorite of all the great photos posted today. Love the moody B/W, and how can you go wrong w/ a beautiful woman in the foreground. The backlit hair is a nice touch.

This is a B&W masterpiece! Such a great mood to it and gorgeous dramatic light. Very journalistic but with a landscape photographer's touch.

The BW sat is perfect for this image. Lovely image of a beautiful young lady.

Gorgeous shot. The highlights on the hair, the grass, the well exposed hands and face, the landscape, all fantastic. :toast:

This is superb Tristand. Your conversion is perfect IMO, and the scene is packed with drama. Your wife is the perfect complement to this great scene, and I love the soft light on her face and hands. Her hands draw my eyes like a magnet being against the dark jacket. This is true art - absolutely incredible.

Gorgeous black and white and your wife is every bit as lovely as the scenery beyond.
