Turning Tide

I was lucky that the weather, tide and lighting all coincided perfectly on the day I happened to think of visiting this location. After a short amount of rock climbing I was able to set up in a small cove wedging myself into the rocks close to the water. After a little experimentation I got a few shots that I thought were interesting. This one in particular was one of my favorites.

16mm, f22, ISO 50, 3sec, 2 stop ND filter and Vari-ND polarizer

Great scene Jim. Perfectly composed and the water action is terrific. The barrel distortion is a wee bit distracting and would be my only nit.

That is a very different view of the golden gate. Love the mood.

Holy cow, Jim...this is phenomenal. I see the barrel distortion Bill mentioned but it doesn't bother me. Dramatic and beautiful!

A delightful image, with the FG moving water providing a perfect lead in, some distortion, but this adds to the image.

Fantastic, fantastic. The frozen water motion together with the background panorama makes this picture great.

The curved lines at the edges make this look like a fisheye which together with the sense of movement in the water gives this an epic scale.
