Lands End
by David Clapp
This is Lands End UK yesterday night from Pordernack Point. Only around 2 minutes of amazing gold blasted through a slit in the clouds, but it was enough to complement this wonderful scene. It was a real shame the composition couldnt include the sun as the gold light on the breaking waves was utterly amazing. Unbelievable winds whipped up by spring tides made this cliff walking weekend full of drama and variety.
In case you are wondering what the 'rock' in the distance is, this is Longships lighthouse. Another query may be the white patch on the middle rock, named 'Enys Dodnan'. There are a few hundred seagulls, mainly Greater / Lesser Black Backed that are sheltering from the strong winds.
Thanks for looking, please leave coments and critiques.
