Marsel, I like the way the clouds and the rocky ground comes together. What takes this over the top for me is the unusual trees which are beautifully lit in the landscape. Could you tell us what they are?

I can just imagine numerous poster retailers selling this picture by the hundreds! It's got commercial potential. I'd give it four and a half stars out of five (the only thing that could perhaps be improved would be the placement of the background tree, but I guess it's hard to change its place and still get this angle).

Thanks for the kind words.

Will - these are Quivertrees. The two on the left are young ones, the one in the back is older. There are some more Quivertrees <a href="http://www.naturephotographers.net/imagecritique/ic.cgi?a=vp&pr=25230&b=mp&st=0&la=17&ph=6&sid=16192&u=16192" target="_blank">here.</a>

Wow!
If this was the US desert southwest we'd all be thinking, "Real nice, but been there..." Those wild trees really make it for me.

Marsel,
It seems that this trip to Namibia was worth every cent. I love your quivertree images. This one is great! I like the trees all leaning at different angles and the beautiful light.

Another great one, Marsel. I also see a great square portrait of just the trees on the left. That sky is quite dramatic!
