...Goldenfields that is. Carrizo Plain from two weeks ago. The goldenfields were profuse and formed "rivers" of color in the shallow gullies. around Soda Lake.

Your thoughts on this image.

This one is my favorite of the series, Youssef. Absolutely beautiful and masterfully composed.

What can I say but beautiful. I like the winding river and the collaboration of colors.

I was thinking the same thing before I read it "River of Flowers". A very pretty shot.

Excellent image, nicely composed, nothing here that doesn't need to be. Not sure how the screen matches the original, but it looks like you could add a touch of saturation on my average work monitor, I'll have to have a look tonight on my good monitor.

A wonderful sweep of colour Youssef that meanders very beautifully through the subtle hues along the banks of the "river". Just as a point of interest. I quite often find these busy highly detailed scenes hard to compose in camera and I find I need to simplify it so as not to be distracted by a visual overload of information. A little trick I use is to de-focus the camera so that you are left with washes of colour and/or light and shade on the viewing screen, then I adjust my viewpoint to balance the weight of colour contrast and hue and light to dark before re focussing and taking the picture. It works for me!! I find the little area of yellow right at the top of the image just pulls my attention away from the flow of the "river of gold".

Man, am I ever regretting being too busy and broke to have gotten out for the desert bloom this year! Beautiful image. It has a nice sweeping feeling to it.

Whoa! Good job. I can see I came home too early and didn't go far enough west.

More?

This is simply divine, Youssef. Best of the wonderful bunch of photos you've posted of this area. It might be a little oversharpened, but that's minor. I bet a large print of this is just mesmerizing!

This has a wonderful flow to it, Youssef. The bands of yellow flowers pulls you into the image. Nicely done.
