Feeding from the top

I always enjoy getting images of these little wonders when they feed from the top side of the flowers.

My typical 4 flash setup.

Hi Keith,

The bar has been set. I see how you have set the flashes to provide most of the light from above and to the right. The lighting is fairly strong , but not harsh. Very nice image. I like it a lot. You are a very good teacher--you provided some hints on how to think about this type of photography and its up to me to put it all together.............................Jim

Wonderful colors and comp. I like the way the little spines on the flower stalk echo the bird's wings. Very dynamic shot.

This is excellent. I like your later image in natural light better, but that is kind of "apples and oranges". This is very good of its kind.

Perfect does seem to fit this shot, Keith. Wonderful detail in both the hummer and the flowers. I too like him from above the flowers.
