7D2, Sigma 150-600mmC@600mm, F9, 1/800, ISO 800, +0.33 EC, handheld.  He gave me some nice poses, but this is one of the better ones showing his namesake streaks.  Thanks for any comments or suggestions, Dave

Very cool bird and excellent image, Dave.  I like all the lines from the palm fronds(?).

Nice color and detail.  I am enjoying the perch and background.  My guess is this was not taken in the Shasta area; where?

David,  The image was captured in Nuevo Vallarta area of Mexico.  They are relatively common on the lowland scrub habitat.

Good detail in the bird against an interesting (streaked) background.
